Vacation! For Chris…

Yesterday I took Chris to the airport. He went to Florida to visit Cole. We miss each other, but we’re both glad Chris will get to hang out with Cole. Plus, later on this week we will all be meeting up in Odessa, FL. Chris and I are excited to see our friends and family back home, and we are especially looking forward to meeting Link, our nephew who was born in July after we moved to Kansas.

I was busy last night trying to keep up with the Bucs, who were on Sunday Night Football and won 20-10 (yeay!), and the Rays who won Game 7 in the Playoffs and are going to the World Series! We had some family and friends at the Rays game, so I was looking for them in the crowd, too!

Can’t wait to see you guys! :)

Go Bucs and Rays! The game was so so exciting!!! I almost fell onto the people in front of me because I was jumping so much! We were lucky that we were invited to the game!

As if we’ve been walking on coals…

We got our grill this week! We went to Home Depot last Sunday but they didn’t have many in stock so they transferred the one we wanted form another store. They called us Tuesday night to tell us it had come in and was ready, but when we went to pick it up Wednesday night they hadn’t put it together. So, we just got a propane tank and went home.

Thursday we went to pick it up and brought it home. Now we can grill out! We look forward to enjoying some of Chris’ good burgers! We’re gonna have to go ahead and do some cooking out because it’s already begining to get chilly out. I doubt we’re going to want to grill out in the snow! Oh, wait, Chris said he might. We’ll have to see how it goes.

Grandparents

My Dad finally got out to Houston to visit Allie. I guess I will be the last person in my family to meet her but I will be the most excited! I’m a wonderful Uncle [or will be]. Anyways, My mom has been there for a while helping my sister and now everyone is there and they are having a good time.

Allie can’t wait to meet her Uncle Chris!
We are having a great time spoiling Allie.

Awe! Allie is so cute and so lucky to have such a loving family. You must be excited to meet her already…Congrats Uncle Chris and Auntie Elyse! :)

Allie looks pretty attached to her Grandma and Grandpa. I don’t think she’s going to want them to leave her!

i love walks at sunset

Last night we went on a walk at sunset before we watched the first Pirates of the Carribean movie. It was a little chilly (~66 F) which made me want to walk faster.

We walked to a field at the end of the road and got a few sunset pictures.

We played outside for a few hours this afternoon with our next-door neighbors. We had 2 frizbees and our Gators football going between four of us and occasionally threw all three things at one unsuspecting person. We ended up attracting 3 other players later in the game and all had a good time. We are now counting down the the Gators vs. LSU game. Go Gators!

Nice sunsets! We got to see sunrise on our flight back from Peru! Have you ever seen sunrise before, Chris?! Congrats on your win. Love you, Mom

I use to work until sunrise everyday day…night?

Danni - October 15, 2008 - 9:06 pm

Kansas has some perdy sunsets :)

Arrrr! Be ye ready matey?

We are getting ready for a weekend of fun! All Pirates, all weekend (and some football).

One of our neighbors has a wall full of DVD’s and has let us borrow quite a few.

We never really liked Johnny Depp, but we think he’s perfect for the role of Jack Sparrow and adds good humor to the movies.

We are looking forward to the weekend together.

Trilogies are the best! An inexpensive and relaxing way to spend the weekend :)

You got the Funk?

This is a commercial that we think is really funny and cute. We saw it first last fall, when we were going back to UF from a summer of working, so it was even more fitting then as we were back with our school friends for the last year. They recently started airing it again for this school year.

Cheryl - October 17, 2008 - 8:41 am

I love it!! Somehow I missed it last year, although this year I did buy a back pack. Now there’s a word no one in Peru can say; it comes out bach pach. Love you, Mom

15 feet

That’s right, 15 feet. That is as far as I could see as I was driving today. This monster of a rain storm kind of came out of nowhere. When I left the house is was just a little rainy and by them time I got to where I was going it pretty much wasn’t worth it.

Our rain gutters got a good work out.

Here is a picture of the rain from our back porch.

Back in business

I got home from Houston on Friday night. Chris had cleaned up the house in anticipation of my return! He said he vacuummed, took the garbage out, did the dishes, and cleaned the fridge. He is a very thoughtful husband.

We’re glad to be back together and have had a great weekend hanging out, watching a lot of SEC football (Go Gators; glad they’re back in business, too), playing catch outside, bike riding, and watching movies.

We’ve also been praying for my parents, who are on a mission trip to Peru. Hope everything is going well.

WOW, you’re not wearing a GATOR shirt! I was beginning to wonder if you had any other shirts besides Gators! haha.
Glad to see you’re doing your share of the “chores”.
