JOHNSON CITY GOLD

Ya-hooo! Mountain Dew made a limited release malt flavored soda named Johnson City Gold and we got our hands on some. The name comes from the city where Mountain Dew was born, Johnson City, Tennessee. It is non-alcoholic and meant to be enjoyed by Dew fans of all ages. It definitely has a unique flavor. They are suppose to re-release it in 2013 branded for different regions of the country. So, if you want to try it, keep your eyes open!

Gator Gameday – Jacksonville State

It was another week of offensive struggles for the Gators. Luckily we played Jacksonville State and we were still able to get the win. We shut them out 23 to 0. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to watch this game because we had an outdoor project that had to be completed today but we did set up some speakers outside so that we could listen to the game. We got our project done and we won. Success.

I didn’t know Jax had seceeded from the Great State of Florida and moved to Alabama until I asked Google about it.

Cole had a little mishap with his iphone while we were on our trip to Georgia. It fell off the tailgate and shattered the back glass. Since there is no Apple Store in the middle of Georgia we had to improvise. We found a nice roll of camo duct tape and got to work. It worked perfectly, not only did it keep the glass from falling out but it kept him from cutting his hands all week.

Georgia to Kansas

We had a great trip to Georgia. After visiting with my parents we also got to go see Chris’ Grandmas and Aunts and Uncles. We were very excited to get to see Chris’ cousin and new baby that was just born that week! Congrats to Andrea and Dan and welcome to baby Abigail.

Georgia to Kansas

After visiting with Chris’ family, we got on the road to head back to Kansas. Chita enjoyed free reign of the topper covered back of the truck and checked in on her Uncle Cole occasionally.

We got to see some great scenery on the drive and especially enjoyed the drive through the mountains. We drove through a storm on the way back as well.  The clouds looked really neat as we crossed a bridge from Kentucky to Illinois!

in georgia, ready to work

Well folks, we made it to Georgia safe and sound. We met Mom, Dad, and Grandma there to help put up all the signs we gave Dad for Christmas last year. We didn’t waste any time. We got ready and went straight to work.

We did a quick survey of what we were going to need and made a trip to Lowe’s to get our supplies. Some of the signs we hung on trees and some locations had existing posts. Other places we used the auger on the tractor to drill some holes for new posts. We also took this time to celebrate Elyse’s birthday with her parents. Chita jumped the gun a little bit and got into the cake a little early. My Dad was able to join us and get in a little four wheeler time before we got back to work. We also played some ‘Fast’ Uno and just enjoyed spending time with family on our down time. I had the good fortune of getting into a bunch of chiggers and ticks which was a blast. But we did finish our job; we got every sign in place before we had to leave. Enjoy some pictures…
