Capital City Motorcycle Show

Capital City Motorcycle Show Topeka, KS

For one of our first rides of the spring we went with Kim and Kylee to the Capital City Motorcycle Show at the Expocenter in Topeka. It was a windy ride! It wasn’t a huge show but we looked around at all the bikes and here were a few of our favorites: a Goldwing that looks like it’s outfitted with machine guns and the 65 “Monkey” bike that a guy from our motorcycle group custom built from a Triumph. We had a really good time riding and hanging out with our friends.

Winter Motorcycle Storage

Winter Motorcycle Storage

We rented a climate controlled storage unit to keep all of our motorcycles in for the winter. The bikes spent their time on front and rear Pitbull Stands to keep the tires from getting flat spots and we used our Battery Tenders to keep the batteries charged and ready to go. We also used some Yoshimura Wash Plugs to keep anything from getting in or living in our exhaust pipes.

Since we’re already in Spring, we hooked up the trailer, got the bikes out of storage, and got them ready to ride. We’ve already made a few trips with our sportbike friends. We’re looking forward to a long(er than normal) riding season this year.

2012 F-150 FX4

2012 F150 FX4

We bought a new truck! We decided to replace our old FX4 with a new 2012 FX4 SuperCrew. We’re definitely Ford people and we love our F-150′s. We really like the truck in black and the FX4 package gets rid of all the chrome and adds the gunmetal wheels. Anyways, we’re excited and have been enjoying our new truck.

2012 F150 FX4

Since we bought a brand new truck we were able to get all the features we wanted. My Favorite feature is the rearview camera, it makes hooking up the trailer so easy. We’re still switching between the trucks but I hear Elyse has big plans for the white truck.

That’s really nice!

waiting to play

Chita is a funny little beagle. She seems to know when Elyse is coming home from work. It’s either the time or she knows Elyse’s ringtone on my iPhone. If we’re upstairs she just stands in the hallway and stairs at the front door but most of the time she’ll wait right at the door. Here we are (ready to play) waiting for mom to come home!

Rusty is ready to play, too!

Emergency Snow Route

It seems like we won’t get to use these this year… Not that we sit around hoping for snow or anything, we’re definitely enjoying this wonderful winter. It’s suppose to be 70 degrees and sunny tomorrow. It’s going to be great! Don’t bother calling, we’ll be outside playing with the beagle…

Oh! is that what happened..you got busy playing outside and forgot to call me back.

Star Wars Pancakes

This weekend we took a little trip over to Williams-Sonoma in Leawood at Town Center Plaza. While we were there we ran across a bunch of Star Wars stuff. Elyse loves to have pancakes every once in a while so we picked up a set of Star Wars pancake molds. We are excited to use them so I’m sure we’ll be having breakfast for dinner very soon.

Valentines 2012

These are the cards we got each other for Valentine’s Day this year. (Notice that the one I got Elyse is at least twice as big as a normal card.) I ran across Elyse’s while shopping one day and thought she’d love the cute little puppy and she found me an awesome Pepé Le Pew card. As far as gifts go, we decided that this past weekend we would exchange them a little early. Elyse got me a cowl cover for my new motorcycle and I gave her a shopping spree in Kansas City. We had a great time and just enjoyed spending time with each other.
