After the Arch and Illinois we headed over to Forest Park. This park is one of the biggest urban parks in the USA. The St. Louis Zoo is in the park and that is where we wanted to go.

The Zoo was definitely the place to be and we got the best parking spot in the whole place, Row 1 Space 1. As we were walking in we paused momentarily to snap this picture.

The first exhibit was their ‘Awesome Amphibians’ so we got a picture of this giant frog.

We found a comfortable bench in the shade and waited for the feeding of the sea lions. It was really fun watching them swim all around.

When they came to feed them this one sea lion jumped out of the water and just held his mouth open waiting for his fish. He also would yelp when he felt it was time for another fish. The rest of them just swam around and waited for the guy to throw them some fish.

Elyse told me to go stand by this sign so she could get a picture of her ape, I obliged.

I finally got the camera back and took a picture of the gorillas and a few chimpanzees.

Later we decided to take a train ride around the zoo. We got lucky engine number 45!

Here we are just enjoying our lazy train ride.

We visited their black water exhibit that was full of some nice birds.

We caught the tigers at nap time. They would just lay there and flip over every once in a while.

These little penguins were having a good time.

They had some nice bears. This huge grizzly bear was not so happy that people were stairing at him. He asked everyone to keep moving but nobody seemed to be listening to him. The black bear was a cautious stepper. He took his time getting down his stairs making sure that he had his feet planted firmly before making his next move.

Pretty Wife + Pretty Flowers = Great Picture

Here I am making sure we go the right way through the River’s Edge part of the zoo.

Here we got to see some rhinos!!!! The guy in the back was chasing the guy in the front. Those horns are good motivation to keep on movin’.

We found hippos and anteaters.

Elyse loved this little guy. The baby elephant was very playful and just having a good ole time rolling on the ground and chasing his mom around.

After the zoo we got to see the St Louis Art Museum…sorry, no cameras allowed!

For dinner we decided to try out SKY BOX. It is owned by Nelly, Larry Hughes, Marshall Faulk, Darius Miles and has over 80 high def TVs to enjoy just about every sports show that is being broadcasted.

Here I am looking good in my Tampa Bay hat (Go RAYS!). After dinner we did some more walking around downtown til after dark. We did a lot and had a great time.
